Recently the JSerra Pep Squad hosted their annual Cub’s Camp. This camp is when we bring future lions ages four to twelve to learn cheers, a dance, and even have the opportunity to stunt. These young cubs then cheer with the Varsity Pep Squad members during second quarter and even go out and perform during halftime. This year’s game was against one of Orange County’s best, Mater Dei. Jserra’s cubs and cheerleaders came out in full force with the adorable cubs learning the cheers and performing it perfectly. The young cubs enjoyed standing on the varsity cheer boxes; however, the real performance was halftime in which everyone performed to a Taylor Swift mash-up song. Although, the adorable cubs were not the only excitement of the game, our Lions fought a tough game that night only allowing twenty-eight points by the Monarchs and getting thirty-five points, giving the Lions their first trinity league win! Go Lions!
