As a senior at JSerra, I've been fortunate enough to experience all this school has to offer. From the rigorous academics, to the competitive athletics, and the large emphasis on faith, JSerra has been an incredible home to me over the past 4 years. As a junior, I decided to venture out of my comfort zone and take a class called broadcast journalism. The teacher, Mr. Higgins, welcomed me into his class and was more than willing to introduce me to the world of broadcasting. Let's just say, I fell in love with not only being on camera, but working the various components behind the scenes.
I decided, this year, to apply for and join the Art's Magnet Program in order to further explore my passion for broadcasting and television. I was chosen to be in the official "Lion Report" class in which we are given the opportunity to have a live show every day. For the three months I've been in the class, I have grown in knowledge and experience and I am so looking forward to pursuing broadcasting as my career. I feel so blessed to have found my niche at the age of 17, and I owe it all to the amazing encouragement that JSerra has to offer.
